Although the war of 1812 is
remembered as a pointless war the U.S had some success, it inspired the
invention of the weapons industry and westward expansion. The 1812 war was a
learning experience for the U.S and it also helped America grow stronger as one
nation. The peace treaty that ended the war was signed at Ghent, Belgium, on
December 24, 1814.
